NOK-Freudenberg Group China is an equal-share joint venture between NOK Corporation, Japan and Freudenberg, Germany serving the high-growth Chinese market with locally produced and imported seals and vibration control technology products. The joint venture supplies numerous European, US and Japanese customers operating in China as well as local Chinese customers in the automotive and general industry sectors.

In cooperation with the partners NOK (Japan), Freudenberg( Europe) and Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership(USA) the locally produced product range is continuously in line with market requirements. Our market success is based on the same factors which also account for the success of the Freudenberg and NOK Group in other regions, namely technological leadership and an uncompromising focus on quality.

NOK and Freudenberg Group China Chronicle 1849 – 2009

2009 Sales revenue exceeded 1.4 billion RMB.

2004 NOK-Freudenberg Group China was established as the group's 4th region in the world.

1993 NOK-Freudenberg starts operation in China.

1989 Freudenberg NOK General Partnership (FNGP) was established in the USA.

1960 Partnership established between Nippon Oil Seal Industry Company LTD.(NOK) and Freudenberg ; Co.

1939 Establishment of Nippon Oil Seal Industry Company Ltd.Tokyo (NOK).

1938 First patent of Freudenberg for the elastomer rubber "Simmerring".

1936 A new material called Perbunan (synthetic rubber) is used for Simmerrings by Freudenberg.

1929 The first American-style leather seal is manufactured by Freudenberg. This seal becomes the first so called Simmerring.

1849 Establishment of the company Heintze ; Freudenberg in Weinheim for the Production and trade of finest. This is the starting point of today's Freudenberg ; Co.
